Mutton, beef or chicken, foreigners love the taste of biryani. Although in most western countries, it is served with lighter rice and less spice, it still tastes just as good. After the aroma, it is the idea of a number of elements mixed with the rice that attracts them to the dish.
Korma
The abundance of different condiments all boiled down to a beautiful gravy that surrounds and drowns the beef or chicken is undoubtedly one of the tastiest dishes we have in Bangladesh, and foreigners love it no less.
Shingara and Samosa
A crunchy blend of potatoes, herbs and spices, coated with a smooth layer of roti, fried to perfection. Have it by itself or with a wide range of chatnis and sauces. What else can one ask for, from a snack? Foreigner tend to love it because it is very different from their array of fried food items, and has more elements in a single snack.
Fish Curries
Bangladesh is a land of rivers; one of the many reasons why they hold some of the best fish curries, even the ones which are lesser known to the rest of the world. One of the most famous is the Hilsha fish curry, which is loved by foreigners despite their struggle of picking out the bones.
Sweets
Every dinner needs a desert, and Bangladeshi sweets such as the roshogulla or shondhesh are absolutely delicious, and of course there’s the specialty called pitha which is a crowd favorite. The sweets, although loved by foreigners, are consumed in small amounts given that they are not accustomed to the intensity of its sweetness. Foreigners, however, simply love the concept of pithas because of the perfect balance of creams, crunch and sweetness.
Bangladeshi food has the power to make you feel at home, even if you are not from Bangladesh, and amongst other dishes, these few seem to be loved most by foreigners owing to the burst of unique flavors with every bite.
